School Energy Conservation Solutions
As an important place for talent nurturing and knowledge dissemination, campuses are seeing automation, facilitation and efficiency improvement of their education facilities. Advanced equipment such as automatic library, small data centers and automatic water heaters are increasing the energy consumption of campuses in a remarkable fashion.

Schools provide spaces for teaching, scientific research and living. Compared with those of an ordinary public building, the energy consumption of a campus building is closely related to the building scale, use functions and hours. Its main characteristics include:
Teaching buildings, stadium and dorms and other functional buildings are apparently used in different times. This means that the A/C system should be partitioned and controlled separately.
Visitor flow of teaching buildings and libraries are quite high. As such, the design of A/C system should take indoor temperature and humidity and fresh air requirement and the use in transition seasons into consideration.
As for local use during holidays, variable-frequency setting of A/C unit should be provided.

Improving Utilization Rate of Heating/A/C System Energy
Reasonable heating/cooling sources are selected to guarantee maximum output of heat and energy given the same quality and quantity of energy source. Efficient variable-frequency chiller should be used to ensure high-efficiency stable operation of the chiller while meeting partial load requirements.
Sufficient Heat Recovery
Canteen is one of the main energy consumers of a school. Unrecovered canteen waste heat will result in both waste and thermal pollution of outdoor atmosphere. The commonly used heating method for cooking at the canteen in colleges and universities is steam heating. The boiler used to generate steam and the thermal equipment would generate condensate water during operation. The water temperature can be above 60℃. If this part of heat is recovered and fully utilized, the fuel consumption can be reduced, thus saving energy.
In addition, the hot bath water in the public bathhouse of schools generally has a temperature of about 40℃. Waste water containing much heat is too often drained into the drainage pipe. The outlet temperature of waste water is generally about 32℃. If this part of heat is recovered from the waste water, the operation expense of the bathhouse can be reduced, and emission of combustion gas can also be decreased. Based on the principle of water source heat pump, Guolian Green Technology may provide waste water heat recovery and utilization system for schools. This system may not only recover excess heat from the bathhouse waste water, but could also use the recovered heat to heat up the cool water supplied, considering that the waste water drainage and hot water supply are carried out synchronously in the bathhouse.
Automation System of Building Equipment
The automation system of building equipment is able to maintain a comfortable indoor environment by predicting the indoor and outdoor air state parameters. The minimum energy consumption is used as the evaluation function to determine the required cooling/heating capacity and cooling/heating source and desired number and working sequence of A/C units and fans, thus achieving the optimal energy conservation performance.
Frequency Converting Control of Secondary Circulating Pump of Heating Pipe Network
For school buildings in north China, generally the heat provided by the primary pipe network is converted into secondary heating hot water and domestic hot water at the heating station. Frequency-control water pump and differential pressure controller are installed in the secondary water system at the heating station. If time-phased heating is implemented, the secondary network is a variable-flow system due to regulation of the thermostat valve. Frequency control and speed regulation control is adopted for the frequency converter of the secondary network circulating pump to adjust speed of the water pump and adapt to the flow adjustment of the system, thus achieving energy conservation.
Full Utilization of Water Resources
Main water consumers in colleges and universities are student dorms, teaching buildings and common bathing pool, with regular consuming hours and large consumption. If domestic sewage in colleges and universities (clothes washing and face washing) is used for toilet flushing, street watering and fire fighting after processed using technologies such as affluence and water treatment, this would result in considerable economic and environmental benefit. Water consumption could be saved by 30% to 40% and water drainage could be reduced by 35% to 50%.
Comprehensive Management Platform of Energy Consumption
The latest building facility energy efficiency management system SEED (structure energy efficiency dashboard) of Guolian Green Technology is a type of flexible and efficiency software of energy consumption data statistics and analysis. It is highly suitable for sub-entry measurement of comprehensive energy of school buildings. Based on the energy consumption data collected by the BA system, it uses multi-perspective analyzing method and intuitive graphics to acquire, transmit, analyze and manage power consumption, fuel consumption and water consumption of the campus buildings and equipment.   • Pipe Network Survey and Leakage Detection and Repairing
    Through underground pipe network survey and leakage detection and repairing, an understanding of the pipeline and characteristics of the pipeline is obtained. Leaking points and weak sections in the pipe network are located. Leaking pipes are repaired and weak sections are properly protected.
  • Transformation of Terminal Water Consumers and Control of Pipeline Pressure
    Water supply pressure of end pipelines is re-evaluated, and water-conserving terminal water consumers are provided to eliminate unnecessary waste of water.
