The cold storing A/C system refers to an A/C system that is able to accumulate the cooling capacity in a certain medium in the form of sensible heat and latent heat, and releases the cooling capacity as needed. The most commonly used cold storing methods include ice storage and water storage.
Ice storage A/C technology refers to ice making using electricity and storage of the ice in the ice storing device during the low power consumption valley hours and utilization of the cooling capacity when needed (during peak hours). This way, the peak load shifting of power grid is realized. It helps to lower the installed power-generating capacity and sustain high-efficiency and safe operation of the power grid.
The control system of ice storage project is complicated. It involves start and stop of the equipment, and control of conversion of working conditions of chiller and adjustment of the cooling capacity by melting ice. It requires reliable and optimal control, so as to utilize the ice storing system as much as possible, thus saving operation expense to the maximum extent. The control system is mainly composed of the central management workstation, communication system, onsite controller, analog signal conversion interface, valve, sensor, controls and actuator.
